Yes, we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. This will hold your time slot.
Deposits are only refundable if work has not already begun. Work usually begins 30 days before your required due date, unless otherwise stated in our correspondence.
Yes. We understand that things can change. You can cancel anytime up to 30 days before the agreed due date and receive a full refund on your deposit. If the project is cancelled after the 30 days, the deposit is not refundable.
No refunds can be issued once Final Files have been sent.

If you wish to create merchandise for resale, (for example, bookmarks, mugs, t-shirts, calenders etc), or if your sales exceed 500,000 copies, then by copyright law, Extended Licenses are required for each image used in the design(s). These must be purchased by the author. A list of all the images used can be provided upon request. Please see question “Can I use my book cover design on sell-able Merchandise?” for more information, or email any questions to email@example.com.
We do not require, request or even accept any royalty payments of any kind or amount from the sales of your book.
All images used by Eight Little Pages to create your cover design are sourced from reputable stock image companies such as Shutterstock, Deposit Photos, Neostock, and are Royalty Free, so you do not need to pay any royalties to the original photographers and/or image creators either.
If you have not purchased the Extended licences for each image used in the composition of your cover art, you cannot legally use the cover design on merchandise you intend to sell.
For every image we use in the creation of your book cover, we purchase the Standard Image License. That License allows you to use the cover for your ebook and printbooks up to 500,000 copies sold. It also allows you to use the cover in any promotional material such as posters and promotional/sales graphics, on website and social media banners/sites, and on any FREE swag you create to promote your book, for example, if you we’re attending an event and were giving away bookmarks with your cover art on them, that would be allowed under the terms of the license. However, if you were to then start selling those same book marks, that would be a breach of the license.
If you wish to purchase the Extended Licenses to cover yourself for commercial merchandise as well as unlimited copies of your book sold, just let us know and we can give you a list of every images used in the composition as well as links to where you can purchase that license.
Extended Licenses range from £60-£500 per image, depending on the image provider.
We only offer basic revisions on our Premade Covers. These include text and image colours, and title & tag line wording. Slight alterations to text layout may be made, depending on actual title wording.
Never. We will always wait at least 24 hours after your designated cover reveal date before we display your design/s on our website.
Our package prices are very simple. The price you see is the price you pay, regardless of your word or chapter count.
The only additional charges are for extras, or for our PRIORITY 24-HOUR service. Those charges are as follows:
– PRIORITY 24-HOUR Service: £50 per service
(for example, PRIORITY Cover Design = £50, PRIORITY Interior Formatting = £50, PRIORITY Cover + Interior = £100)
– Additional 3D Renderings: £10 each.
– Inputting Editorial Corrections to manuscripts:
- First 20 = FREE
Over 20 = Charged as part of our File Fixing Service at £15 per 30 mins

We usually reply within 48 hours (we are based in the UK, so we like to allow for time zones), though at busy times, it may be longer. We’ll send you a list of questions about your book that will help us create a one-off design just for you. During those initial email conversations, we will confirm with you that you’d like to go ahead with the booking, and will send you an invoice for the deposit.

Unlimited design rounds means we will literally create different designs until you have the cover of your dreams.
However, working with stock imagery can sometimes be limiting. If you have something very specific in mind, for example, you’d like the main character on the cover and they have a very specific look, outfit, weapon, scar, etc etc, then it might be in your best interest to commission an artist or photographer to compose bespoke imagery. We have worked with artists and photographers in the past, and can help you liaise with people to ensure we have everything we need to complete your cover design. If this is a service you’d like, please mention this in your email to us.
Please note; We reserve the right to cancel any project at anytime.
Don’t worry! We will correct any typos you find free of charge at any time, up to a maximum of 20, even after your publication date, providing the final page count remains the same. If you need to make more than 20 corrections you will need to book our File Fixing Service which is charged at £15 per half hour.
Please be aware all editing and proofing should be complete before sending the files for formatting.
